Mascota is a charming little town in the Sierra Madre mountain range, near the halfway point to Guadalajara in the toll-free road. At a 4,000 ft. elevation and an average temperature of 70 F, Mascota is a great place to visit and get away from Puerto Vallarta’s hot summers. This authentic Mexican village offers colonial architecture and petroglyphs (rock carvings) from dating back 3,000 years. We will also take some time to visit La Yerbabuena, a tiny expat community where we will feed the ducks and geese. On this tour you will learn about the culture and traditions of these peaceful communities.
